FAQ

Questions about the Cybersecurity bootcamp.

(01)What is the price of the Cybersecurity bootcamp?
The upfront fee is R32,950, which is the lowest total price for this bootcamp. You can also pay from R3,213 a month through Manati, or in instalments; both cost more in total.
(02)How long is the bootcamp?
Seven months of live online classes, broken into weekly and daily tasks, with 12 months of access to the recordings afterwards.
(03)Do I need an IT background?
No. The first module teaches IT and networking from the beginning, and the bootcamp is designed for people who have never worked in tech.
(04)What is the difference between this bootcamp and the Cybersecurity Analyst Occupational Certificate?
The bootcamp is seven months, lab-based and built around Security+. The Occupational Certificate: Cybersecurity Analyst is an 18-month QCTO-accredited national qualification at NQF Level 5 with a national exam and workplace modules. Choose the certificate for the qualification; choose the bootcamp for speed.
(05)Are there exams inside the bootcamp?
No. It is project-based and lab-based; your portfolio is the assessment.
(06)What if I fall behind?
You get feedback throughout, and you can book one-on-one sessions with the head tutor.
(07)Does Zaio guarantee a security job?
No. Hiring is competitive and we do not promise placement. We give you the skills, the portfolio, the certification preparation and the introductions.
(08)Is the CompTIA Security+ exam included?
No. The curriculum is built around the Security+ objectives and prepares you to sit the exam. The exam voucher is bought separately from CompTIA, currently about R6,000; your advisor confirms the cost in writing before you enrol.
